Shiry Ginosar studies computer vision, machine learning, and AI. She received her BSc from Carnegie Mellon University and her Ph.D. in Computer Science from UC Berkeley. Shiry was a Computing Innovation postdoctoral fellow at the EECS department and at the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing at UC Berkeley. In addition to being an assistant professor at TTIC, she is a Visiting Faculty Researcher at Google DeepMind.
Shiry’s research has distinctly influenced the areas of video synthesis and social behavior prediction. She focuses on understanding intelligence, one pixel at a time. While her background is in machine perception, Shiry’s work draws upon insights from other disciplines, including Psychology, Neuroscience, and the arts.
