Audrey Sedal received her SB in Mechanical Engineering from MIT in 2015 and a PhD from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor in 2020. She joined TTIC as a Research Assistant Professor in the summer of 2020.
Dr. Sedal’s research lies in the area of robotics. It explores the design, modeling and control of “soft” robots made from rubber and other compliant materials. When properly designed and implemented, soft robots could form a new class of safe and collaborative devices for personal assistance, environmental exploration, and medical applications.
Dr. Sedal also has a personally maintained website which can be found at http://www.ttic.edu/sedal
